Hey all, Dave here,
Well, I’m just gonna go ahead and say it. We may have just been scouted by a record label. Yes.
This all has happened in the last week or so, and I’ve just recieved the go ahead to announce it to anyone who will listen. I’m still in shock myself to be honest…
Basically, I have a “contact” (okay, so it’s someone I’m a fan of who had once before replied to something I wrote to him) who has a lot of friends in the music business. Hoping that he’d have a listen and enjoy it, I sent him the songs we recorded a few weeks ago. He loved them so much, he had a few of his friends have a listen.
To cut a long story short, one such friend also rather enjoyed it. This friend, Ben Algier (pronounced Al-Guy-ah), personally has emailed me, asking when he can next see us live, and if he likes us we shall be signed (on a temporary basis at first) to “Wave Funk Records”!!! So he may just come along to the fun day on the 17th July… or we may decide to put on an extra gig… details will follow soon if we do. We want this to happen as soon as possible obviously!
Now, they are admittedly a small label, but come on, this is BIG.
